THURSTON, RICHARD ALBERT, 54, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Nov. 10, 1998) at VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. A native of St. Petersburg, he was a graduate of Boca Ciega High School and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. He was a former carman for the Seaboard Coast Line and Amtrak Railroad. He served in the Marines. Survivors include his mother, Madeline G. Thurston; two brothers, Phillip and Paul, and a companion, Laura Mae Fillyaw,, all of St. Petersburg; four nephews and a niece.
