Carol Anne Ellington Johnson. A glorious ascension for a glamorous Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Friend, and Mother. Carol Anne Ellington Johnson, a giver of life, love, & friendship on earth, whose legacy is an unyielding faith to the Lord, Jesus Christ, went to be with the Lord at 9 am on Thursday, July 23, 2009. Those still here waiting to join her are 4 children, Dawn "Johnson" Atkinson-Jones, Shawn Johnson, Shane Johnson, & Shannan "Johnson" DeBee (son-in-law Mark DeBee); 4 grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Mikayla, and Gavin & Andrew DeBee; 2 sisters, Sandra Tuten & Judy Day; many nieces, nephews, & greats, as well as countless number of devoted lifelong friends. Carol was adored by all who knew her, & she left this world sharing the message of Jesus Christ, His love, and her final reward she has been anticipating for the last year. So, mom, we have committed you to Jesus. We know you are dancing on STREETS OF GOLD with Mima, & we promise to continue your Legacy to all we encounter. Thank you for being the tremendous pillar of love, faith, family, & commitment that you have been all of our lives. We love you mom, Dawn, Shawn, Shane, and Shannan! A memorial Homegoing Celebration will be held on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 from 3-6 pm at New Beginnings Christian Church, 4100 S. Manhattan Avenue, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Hospice.
